I love leapers, but the fact is that modern Jags aren’t designed to have them and dealers install them too far down the hood. It looks bad and everyone involved should feel bad.

Do you know how many XK8 listings I see with a frigging leaper drilled through the hood? And that was peak leaper. The XK8 didn’t have a leaper because the XJS didn’t have a leaper, because the E-Type didn’t have a leaper. Some Jags don’t get a leaper and that’s as much a part of the brand’s genetics as leapers are.

That’s the point.  Is he probably angling for a reduced sentence? Sure.  But it’s also three years in white collar jail.  If Martha Stewart can do it, so can he.  I promise you, as this point, his only motivation is to fuck with Trump, which is why he passed along documents like Eric’s checks to Stormy and inflated assets.

It definitely is in the UK, which is why Jags there haven’t had them since the 80s.  I’m not so sure if it’s the same in the US.

Also, hot take:

X-Types look better (fantastic)  as a wagon and without a leaper, because that’s how they were designed. A lot of the shittiness of X-Types comes from the weird sedan proportions and the leaper on the short hood.

T he trumpsters most damaging  trait may be his tenancy to dump his trusted people to the wolves when push comes to shove. Cohen did a bunch of shady stuff for him and he got tossed over a relatively small issue.  Not saying his people are saints, but at some point even they have to realize they all can be gone in a second depending on his daily mood.

Because there’s going to prison for three years within the government’s good graces for cooperating, which is to say that the credit cards in his wallet today could still be unexpired when he gets out, and then there’s going to prison for long enough to only know his future grandchildren through pictures shown to him during a visit from a family member.

It’s such a weird mix, because he’s quite ready to sell out anyone to protect himself, but also likes to publicly announce that he’ll pardon anyone who refuses to testify (we’ll never see a Roger Stone flip, for instance).

That’s what makes Cohen kind of weird, in a way. He’s not a Manafort or Flynn who knows they’ll at least get an end of term pardon.  He just went all-in, which, again, is a very cultural “if I’m getting fucked, I’m going to make sure you get fucked more” kind of thing to do.  He could ride it out and get a pardon, but at this point, it’s just like, “well, fuck it.”

Is it wrong that my first concern with my car being made to protect pedestrians is whether that absolves me of being at fault?

I’ve been hit by two cars—one was a taxi in Manhattan, and it was my fault, the second was a Lexus driver who got a fist-sized dent in his hood for his troubles.

I’ve definitely had some run-ins where I wouldn’t have felt morally responsible if I had hit them, but it still didn’t happen, because I pay attention .

Wouldn’t Manafort be screwed regardless? If he accepts a pardon, that goes along with accepting guilt, in doing so wouldn’t he just lay out the path of tax fraud in the state of new york and his trials in virginia ?

when you work for Trump yo u can assume 2 things. 1: he’ll make sure that he doesn’t get his hands dirty and you will take the fall. 2: he’ll stiff you at some point,usually when he’s gotten all he can from you, so why pay?

I find it incredible, and disturbing, that there isn’t absolute proof of at least one of his many vile acts...and still struggle with the fact that people voted for this thing .
